The little creepy town was creepy. It took Parker about two seconds to come up with that opinion. Finding hard facts, however, took a bit longer. She desperately wanted Hardison's hacking skills to get into the device that it took her five seconds to ditch.
She had a plan. She could follow the plan and everything would be all right. She'd never been caught. They couldn't catch her here either. She'd find an air duct, a building, a crack in something and slip through. She enumerated the bullet points in her head, forming a plan, giving herself a structure and laying a path that all resulted in her escape. She walked with her head down, arms wrapped tight around her body, feeling a bit like a trapped animal and trying not to think too much on that.
She wasn't trapped. She was THE Parker. They couldn't trap her.
Wasn't possible.
